Unlike large non-profit organizations that have a majority of their incoming donations go to overhead expenses, VER runs a lean operation in order to make sure that a majority of the donations we receive go to the ones in need.
A lot of our donation collection campaigns involve basic needs like: food, gas, clothing, generators, bottled water and water filters, sanitizing materials, and personal care products. All donations received from corporations and the public are sorted, and then sent directly to the emergency areas that are affected by the disaster.
Since we work with a lot of volunteers (our “V-Angels”), they pick up their own expenses most of the time. Our money expenses go into renting trucks, containers, buying the emergency needs of the moment, and into traveling to the affected areas. As of today, we have ZERO expenses related to: office rental, employees, cars, insurance, telephone bills, etc…
We do dream of having our own headquarters one day but, our goal will always be to make sure that at least 90% of the money received via donations gets to the hands of those in need. That is why we can guarantee that your donation will make a difference in someone’s life.
