ABOUT GLOBAL CHILDREN ASSISTANCE FOUNDATION
The Global Children Assistance Foundation has been operating in the Dominican Republic for nine years. Our project, “Heart and Hands,” in San Pedro, aims to evangelize and disciple children. We offer weekly Bible lessons to over 250 children. Additionally, we promote social projects, such as baseball and handicraft classes for mothers, aiming to increase family income. We also provide academic reinforcement for children with learning difficulties and resumed our English course this year. Our main goal is to raise funds to help children in need of food.
ABOUT VER
VER – Volunteer Emergency Relief – is a non-profit that was founded on the above principle by Frederico Martins and Gustavo Couto, who, after a category 5 hurricane hit South Florida in the summer of 2017, decided to take action immediately. By mobilizing their communities around helping others, they were able to fully experience the acts of God right after the storm. Our mission is to bring peple emergency relief and hope, changing one life at a time.
