Thanksgiving 2026
A Thanksgiving basket for 30 families in need.
Together We Give Thanks is a fundraising campaign to provide food baskets for families facing hardship, sharing solidarity and hope this Thanksgiving.
Each basket brings a full holiday meal: the turkey, the classic sides and everything for dessert. Every $40 fills one basket for one family.
This Thanksgiving, let's share gratitude and food. Help us bring a basket to the table of 30 families.
VER – Volunteer Emergency Relief – is a non-profit that was founded on the above principle by Frederico Martins and Gustavo Couto, who, after a category 5 hurricane hit South Florida in the summer of 2017, decided to take action immediately. By mobilizing their communities around helping others, they were able to fully experience the acts of God right after the storm. Our mission is to bring people emergency relief and hope, changing one life at a time.
ACTS OF NATURE, NATURAL DISASTERS, STORMS, OTHER CATASTROPHES. THOSE ARE NOT THE ACTS OF GOD. THEY CAUSE DESPAIR, DESTRUCTION, AND EVEN DEATH. THE ACTIONS WE TAKE TO HELP OTHERS AFTER THE STORMS SHOW THE ACTS OF GOD!
The goal
For many families, Thanksgiving is a reminder of what is missing. Together, we can turn it into a day of abundance: every gift goes into food, and every basket goes to a family's table.
What's in the basket
Each basket follows a classic Thanksgiving meal kit, so a family can cook a full holiday dinner at home.
The centerpiece of the table, ready for the family to roast.
Stuffing, potatoes, vegetables and the side dishes that make the holiday.
Ingredients to bake a dessert together and finish the meal with something sweet.
$40 puts a full Thanksgiving dinner on a family's table.
